Are your fridges reverse polarity protected?

The fridges with power sockets for detachable cables have keyed plugs, and leads are terminated with one-way polarity plugs only, to ensure that they are connected correctly. 

If you modify a lead that results in reversed polarity, the fridge will not power on. 

Twin-core fridge wiring leads supplied with fridges and as accessories have writing on the positive (+) wire to identify them.
